Welcome to the webpage of qGAL: quantum Gravitation and astrophysics lab headed by Dr. Suprit Singh at IIT Delhi. As an enthusiastic research group at IIT Delhi, our aim is to explore and understand how Universe works from micro to macro scales. From how it all began to the eventual fate of massive stars termed Black holes.
Our reseach spans two categories.
The Quantum Realm (ℏ = 1)
- Quantum Fields in Curved Spacetimes: Cosmology and Black Holes
- Analogue Gravity and Emergent Phenomenon
- Quantum - Classical Interaction
- Light - Matter interaction and Schwinger Mechanism
- Gravitational Quantum Mechanics
- Quantum-to-Classical Transition
- Quantum Information
The Classical Realm (ℏ = 0)
- Cosmic Censorship
- Astrophysical Magnetic Fields
- Topics in Extragalactic Astronomy (Cosmology)
- Optical Astronomy: Photometry, Astroimaging and Processing
- Solar Corona: Imaging, Analysis, and its Magnetic Structure
